The town of Soave, located just outside of Verona, has a very special place in my heart. As you may know, my son Xavier was born there on December 14th, 2003. But Soave is actually a beautiful medieval town, surrounded by walls, with a castle high on a hill overlooking the city. I was able to see a bit of it during our time at the hospital when the X Man was born, and I really fell in love with it. There are some nice little shops, cafes, pasticcerias (pastry shops), and wine bars there to occupy your time. Soave is most famous for its wine however. Soave wine is a light, crisp, dry white wine that goes very well with seafood, or most poultry dishes. I'm not much of a white wine guy, but I do like the Soave wines. anyway, here's a few pictures:
